I have served on WFDC continually since 2002, having first represented the Sutton Park ward and then since 2015 the Wyre Forest Rural ward.

I was Deputy Leader of the Council from 2004-2014 and Leader of the Council from 2014-2019 and since 2019 have remained Leader of the Conservative Group.

I have also served on Worcestershire County Council continuously since 2005 and I am also a Wolverley and Cookley Parish Councillor having been elected in 2015.

I was born and raised in Wyre Forest and have lived here all of my life save for going to University.

I balance my political commitments with practising as a solicitor for a Birmingham firm where I specialise in criminal and mental health law.

I am a trustee on a number of local trusts including being chairman of Wyre Forest Scouts which is a great honour as Scouting has been a part of my life since I joined the cubs aged 8.

I am also a season ticket holder at Kidderminster Harriers together with my dad and son.

A448 Flooding issue

Flooding concerns continue to be raised on the A448 in Chaddesley:I have been pressing WCC highways to take action as I am not happy that when we have very heavy rain the A448 is flooding on the bend at the Fox Lane junction and closing the road.

World Book Day

6th March 2025 World Book Day and Cllr Marcus Hart took the opportunity of visiting Heronswood Primary School.

Spennells reporting back

I am pleased that a new wooden post has been installed at the end of Imber Road.I am also pleased the dropped kerb works have been completed on Heronswood Road.I have also reported the flashing vehicle activated speed sign not working on Heronswood Road.

Official opening of Millpond House - Emergency Housing

Cllr Marcus Hart attended the official opening of Wyre Forest District's Millpond House.  A facility in Kidderminster providing short-term accommodation for people whilst they find permanent homes.Great to be at the official opening of Millpond House this morning.
