Ken was born and grew up in Stourport and after leaving school he initially trained as a cobbler before entering the carpet industry as a finishing supervisor.

Ken has represented the Town for 16 years on the Town Council. During his 16 years, Ken has been proud to have represented Stourport as Mayor 4 times raising circa £18,000 for local and national charities, including West Midlands Air Ambulance and SARA. Ken has represented Areley Kings and Riverside at Wyre Forest District Council for 8 years, and has used his District Community funding supporting local community clubs within the Town.  

Ken, is a volunteer driver for Community Transport and raises money for AMMF a charity researching into Cholangiocarcinoma along with his two children in memory of his late wife Lin.
