Wyre Forest District Council wants to abolish the One Hour Free Parking in the specified car parks (which was introduced by the Conservatives) in April 2020 and charge £1 for that one hour. Charging hours will be extended from 18:30 to 21:00.  Higher seasonal charges in Bewdley and Stourport from April to October will be imposed which increases the three Hour charge from £3 to £4 and the Up To 24 hour charge from £5 to £6. The District Council’s Cabinet expects extended charging hours to stimulate demand for Season Tickets in Bewdley. *Specified car parks include St Mary’s Church, Comberton Place, Bromsgrove Street, Vale Road and Gardner’s Meadow. Twelve month Season Ticket charges will be reduced from £706 to £400 (Senior Citizens £175), six months to £250, and one month to £45.

Wyre Forest Conservative’s are collating a petition against these revised parking charges, please see your local ward “Matters” to add you name against this proposal by the Progressive Alliance.
