This week I have been speaking with the Highways team at WCC about the impact that the two developments in Wribbenhall are having on access into Bewdley whilst we have the remainder of the EA works being completed.
Whilst Highways cannot reasonably deny traffic permits for these developments until the end of the flood defence works, I have been crystal clear that there needs to be total co-ordination between the two developments and that there should not be any circumstances in which both the Kidderminster and Stourport Roads have permits approved at the same time.
We have the following road works happening at the moment but I have been assured they will not overlap:
Stourport Road – development works are in progress and due to finish 21st February.
Kiddermnister Road - Complex Gas works are planned in from 24th Feb to 21st March, and there will be support on site to manage the traffic as effectively as possible
