Cllr Marcus Hart attended the official opening of Wyre Forest District's Millpond House. A facility in Kidderminster providing short-term accommodation for people whilst they find permanent homes.
Great to be at the official opening of Millpond House this morning. This is a 20 bedded unit providing safe temporary accommodation for Wyre Forest residents who require emergency accommodation as a result of being homeless. This has been built on a brownfield site, one of our under utilised car parks in Castle Road, Kidderminster. This is in a sustainable location close to essential local services. This unit will be operated and managed by our housing team. This will reduce our need to place residents in external provision and thus providing value for money for tax payers too.
