The island at the junction of 4 main roads, commonly known as the 3 Crowns Island is a well-known traffic hotspot in Franche.
David is working with highways to consider a cost effective way forward. A future design would need to increase the size of the island which relative to the size of the junction is small, further, lane markings giving drivers a path to follow around the island is required. Together with signage at the approach would, I believe, help with the traffic flow and make navigating this junction safer for all road users.
