Work continues to progress on this key proposal for Bewdley.
Due to the make up of the town, particularly the conservation element, the task of installing this zone has presented numerous challenges and as part of this, we have identified an area where we are able to install a required traffic calming feature to implement the 20mph scheme. We have completed this with a specialist consultant and our contractor is currently preparing the costs of the scheme.
Once this is complete, and if viable, we then require the Conservation officer to review it and confirm that they are happy with the proposal. It is then at this point that we can share the plans with the public as part of the legal process and Cllr Dan Morehead is pushing for this to begin this calendar year.
