A proud time for Wyre Forest Conservatives

Tuesday, 7 February, 2012

Phil Green, Chairman of Wyre Forest Conservative Association, says:

"I am personally delighted, as I know our members are, that in 2011 there are Conservative Mayors (Councillors Anne Hingley, David Little and Jan Adams) in the three towns of Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley, respectively. In addition, Conservative Councillor Stephen Clee is the Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council for 2011/2012 and, in Mark Garnier, we have a Conservative MP again after 13 years. The photograph was taken at a flag flying ceremony hosted by the District Council for Armed Forces Week. I congratulate them, recognising their contributions in public life and wish them and their consorts a very happy year ahead."

Mark Garnier, Member of Parliament for Wyre Forest, says:

“It is a great honour to serve the residents of Wyre Forest in Westminster to make sure that parliament works for us all in Wyre Forest and to strive for the area to get the economic regeneration it so urgently needs. With my colleagues on the district and county council, local Conservatives are well placed to be able to drive forward the changes needed to make Wyre Forest a great place to live and work in the 21st century.”
