Owing to the resignation of the UKIP councillor who was elected at the 2nd May County Elections, a By-Election has been called for Thursday 27th June 2013.
At Margaret Thatcher House, on Sunday 19th May, the Management Campaign Sub-Committee together with Stourport Branch Committee representatives, held interviews when Chris Rogers who is a District Councillor for Mitton ward was successful in being chosen as our candidate.

Your local Conservative team is delighted that both Conservative controlled Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council have announced their intention to freeze their elements of the Council Tax for the third year running.
Both Councils are planning to take part in a scheme with Central Government that has helped them freeze the Council Tax over the last two years.

The Charter Trustees (WFDC Councillors of Kidderminster) have instructed the Town Clerk, Mr Charles Talbot M.A.(Cantab) Solicitor to start the process for the Parishing of the Town of Kidderminster.
The Electoral Reform Services have sent out a Petition Letter to all Kidderminster Residents whose names are on the un-edited Electoral Register published in October 2012 to ask for their support in re-gaining our town status which was removed in 1974 when Local Government was re-organized.
Kidderminster Charter Trustees and John Aston, Mayor of Kidderminster joined hundreds of local residents to remember those who bravely gave their lives in the first World War and other conflicts. The parade from New Road included the armed forces, scouts, guides and other worthy organisations and after the Mayor took the salute, everyone marched to St Marys Church.
On 25th October, Wyre Forest Conservative Association held their Annual Dinner at Stourport Manor. We were delighted to be joined by the Rt. Hon. David Davis MP as our guest speaker. Our members and their guests were also joined by Mark Garnier MP, Adrian Blackshaw, the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner candidate, past Wyre Forest MP Anthony Coombs, Wyre Forest District Councillors and Worcestershire County Councillors.
Last year inWest Merciathere were 5,080 reported incidents of domestic violence and abuse, with some 725 in Worcestershire. Nationally, nearly one million women experience at least one incident of domestic abuse each year. On average two women are killed per week as a result of domestic violence, whilst women experience an average of 35 incidents of domestic violence before reporting it to the police. In addition, it is estimated that 750,000 children witness domestic violence every year.
The Lord Chief Justice commenting on burglary said, "Burglary of a home, is always an offence against property, but more important, it is an offence against the person. Your home is your safe place and so burglary is always serious."
A group of WFCA members and guests had a fun evening at Hall Green Greyhound Stadium on 27th September. Relaxing in their restaurant, enjoying an excellent meal and watching through floor to ceiling windows, some of us won, but unfortunately most of us lost.
