Matters

We aim to keep in regular contact with the electorate of the Wyre Forest area, and from September to May we send out at least 2 newsletters (or as we call them 'Matters') giving news, updates from Mark Garnier MP and the opportunity to let your District Councillors know of any problems.

Areley Kings - October 2011 - in this edition Town Councillors Ken Henderson and Maureen Mason are delighted to announce that the footpaths on Prince Rupert Road have been resurfaced and that they continue to campaign for the resurfacing of Redstone Lane, Swiss Heights, Berkeley Crescent and Linden Avenue.

Rock - October 2011 - in this edition, Cllr Godwin discusses the proposed traveller site and announces that the proposed site at Clows Top has been removed from the consultation process.   He also confirms that work has been carried out on the road surface of the A456 and A4117.

Mitton - November 2011 - in this edition, Cllr John Holden reports on Stourport's Big Step Forward and introduces the WFDC online magazine "Wyredin". 

Lickhill  - November 2011 - in this edition, Cllr Dave Little reports on Stourport on Severn's Big Step Forward.

Bewdley and Arley - January 2012 - in this edition new bin collection arrangements are discussed and a new Town Centre Manager is announced.

Wribbenhall - January 2012 - this edition features a report on the secondary fires in Northwood Lane and the success in securing funding for the rebuilding of the wall which runs along the Kidderminster Road / B4190 (adjacent to All Saint's Church). 

Habberley and Blakebrook - January 2012 - in this edition, local Conservatives champion investment for local schools and after concerns from local residents in St Davids Close on the poor state of the road surface, County Councillor Anne Hingley confirms that this area is to be completely resurfaced.

Oldington and Foley - January 2012 - in this edition, County Councillor Nathan Desmond announces where the £10,000 County Councillor's Community Fund has been allocated.  Cllr Desmond is also pleased to announce that Jubilee Drive is to be resurfaced. 

Franche - January 2012 - in this edition, Nick Farress, Conservative Spokesperson is pleased to announce that street lighting in Franche Road, Habberley Lane and Wolverley Road has been improved, making the areas brighter and safer.   Nick also explains the new refuse collection arrangements which come into force later this year.

Greenhill - February 2012 - in this edition, Sue Meekings, Conservative Spokesperson is delighted to announce that a grit bin has been installed in Hurcott Village.  She is also in contact with Network Rail with respect to the poor state of the murals on the Comberton Hill bridge. 

Sutton Park - February 2012 - in this edition, Cllr Hart brings residents up to date with the former driving school centre and the current status re. the site of the former Sutton Arms public house. 

 Broadwaters - February 2012 - in this edition, Conservative spokesperson Juliet Smith is delighted to announce that a new grit bin has been installed in Hurcott Village.  She is also pleased to confirm that speed activated signs are shortly to be installed on Broad Street.
