Matters

We aim to keep in regular contact with the electorate of the Wyre Forest area, and from September to May we aim to send newsletters (or as we call them "Matters") every 2 months for most wards giving news, updates from Mark Garnier MP and the opportunity to let your District Councillors know of any problems.

Wribbenhall - Autumn 2012.  County Cllr Gordon Yarranton reports his delight at the response to the recent consultation paper from residents on the Queensway Estate.   He also reports on work completed and due to take place on overgrown vegetation in Damson Way, Lightmarsh Lane and Northwood Lane.

St Marys East - November 2012 - County Cllr Nathan Desmond announces that the pavements on the Poplars Estate will be resurfaced and he is also calling for double yellow lines to be installed outside the newly opened Tesco Express on the Stourbridge Road.

St Marys West - November 2012 - County Cllr Nathan Desmond and his colleague Councllor Nicky Gale have started a campaign to get the old play area site behind Victoria Place tidied up so that it can be used for the benefit of the local community.  Local residents will shortly be asked for their views.  Nathan has also started the process for the installation of double yellow lines in Northumberland Avenue.

St. Barnabas - December 2012 - County Cllr Anne Hingley discusses the current situation re. the Town Council for Kidderminster.  She also reports on funding for repairs to various pavements in the St. Barnabas area.

Bewdley - February 2013 - Cllr John-Paul Campion announces the District Council's freeze on council tax and parking charges and reports on the improvements on Load Street, Bewdley.

Chaddesley - March 2013 - Cllr Clee reports on the current situation with respect to improvements on Spennells Valley Road and reminds everyone to contact the Worcestershire Hub on 01562 732928 to report potholes.

Wolverley and Cookley 2013 - Cllr Yarranton reports on his recent work with Cookley District Councillor and Parish Councillors into the problems of speeding  on the A449.  He also reports on the work being carried out at Cookley Primary School.

St Barnabas - March 2013 - Cllr Hingley reports on the situation at Paxton Marsh and gives residents information on the new timetable for community transport service to Hume Street Medical Centre.

St Georges and St Oswalds  - March 2013 -  Cllr John Aston adds his support to the Hoobrook Link Road bid.  

St Johns - March 2013.  Cllr Hart gives residents an update on the work being carried out in Brintons Park.
